What can I expect in a typical hour at camp?
Everyday will be different…that's the point. We don't want anyone
getting bored with stale routines…this is why Boot Camp works. You will
find yourself yearning to see what the next day's routine will bring.
Most days will start with some light running in order to warm up, then
light stretching/yoga. We'll then begin the core program workout
usually involving a circuit style format. This includes, but not
limited to, jump rope, obstacle courses, medicine ball work,
calisthenics, kettlebell, plyo box (stepping), and light dumbbells.
Team based activities/exercises come next, often featuring fun team
challenges/races (think Survivor but better). Finally, we'll do some
cool-down stretching and flexibility work while focusing on proper
breathing techniques. As camp progresses and you become more proficient
at the stretches involved, we'll spend this time lecturing/discussing
various health and fitness related subjects while you stretch.
Hopefully, this will leave you with some thought provoking material to
contemplate throughout your day.
What type of people can I expect to meet at camp?
You'll meet people from all walks of life. Sometimes someone may need a
push to start their fitness transformation. Others may join to tone and
strengthen specific areas of their body while many simply enjoy
training in a positive group setting. The friendships you form will
provide support, motivation and maybe some healthy competition. Boot
Camp style programs have been shown to be effective due to these and
other factors. Being part of a group of like-minded individuals
striving to obtain a similar goal will really get you out of bed in the
morning. The group dynamic really creates a positive and rewarding
experience for everyone involved.
Is there a refund policy?
Unfortunately refunds are not available once a commitment has been
made. This is due to the fact that the camp will fill up quickly and we
can't afford to have any spot unfilled. In circumstances such as injury
or severe illness prior to beginning of camp a refund will be issued
with proper documentation from a physician. However a cancellation fee
of 25% of program cost will be assessed.
